Why choose miniature cows?
There are many reasons to choose miniature cows over standard sized cattle, depending on your goals, space, and lifestyle. Miniature cows need far less acreage than full-sized cattle, making them ideal for small farms  or homesteads.  A single acre can support one miniature cow. Minis eat about a third of what a standard cow would eat, saving on hay, grain, and pasture management. They are easy to handle, especially for families  with smaller children and people new to owning livestock. Their docile nature and smaller size reduces the risk of injury compared to handling standard cattle. They are gentle , social, and treated like pets here at our ranch.
What are miniature cows?
Miniature cows are significantly smaller than standard breeds, typically standing between 36 and 48 inches tall at the hip when fully grown.  Despite their size, they are true cattle-not crossbred with other species-just in a more compact form. Minis come in the same breeds as standard sized cows (such as Hereford, Highland, or Jersey) but are scaled down. Because of their gentle nature, manageable size, lower feed and space requirements, they are especially popular for families with children, homesteaders, and hobby farmers.
